Code
I am an active developer in the open source development community, focusing largely on PHP, JQuery, and MySQL based web applications. I have authored and launched several open source development projects and have been an active contributor to collaborative projects like the Bonfire Admin dashboard library. Browse my library of coding projects below to find out more.
Bonfire
The Bonfire project is an open source admin dashboard framework for PHP. It is built on top of the excellent CodeIgniter MVC framework. It strives to reduce the time and effort to build web applications featuring admin dashboards by providing a comprehensive yet flexible solution. Find out more about it at the Bonfire web site.
I have contributed several new features to the core project and developed several add-on modules for download as well. Click on the individual module projects to learn more.
I have tutorials that go into more detail about the library as well as setting up a custom Bonfire module for deployment on the framework.
Bonfire Modules I’ve created or contributed to:
Bonfire News Create, manage and publish news articles for Bonfire Web sites. Contains advanced features like an integrated Rich Text editor, image attachments and comments support.
Bonfire Comments A lightweight, content agnostic module that allows developers to add support for comments to other Bonfire modules. This module currently has built in support in both my News and OOTP Storylines modules.
Bonfire Navigation A module by Bonfire contributor Sean Downey that lets sites admins build custom navigation menus for Bonfire apps.
A collaborative open source development platform developed using the Bonfire admin dashboard. In addition to a custom Bonfire fork, the FOSP features a number of specific Bonfire modules aimed at both providing must have online sports stats features as well as tools for mod developers to build their own sports modules.
