Road to 1.0: Feature List

As the OOTP Fantasy Leagues 1.0 release date nears, I thought a couple articles akin to OOTP’s “Road to Release” would be a fun intro to the Mod.  So in that spirit, here is Road to 1.0 number one, The Feature List.

Global Features

  • Unlimited fantasy leagues based on an OOTP league (MLB, Fictional, historical, hobbit, etc)
  • Users can own multiple teams across multiple leagues
  • Head to head Fantasy Scoring
  • League Standings
  • League Schedules
  • Full player scouting with stats and player profile
  • Full Transactions Log
  • Dropped players must clear waivers

In addition, OOTP Fantasy Leagues features a core set of basic fantasy league management features for three unique sets of users:

  1. OOTP Game Owners/Admins – The person who owns the copy of OOTP and will set up and upload the league data and HTML and run the administrative tools on the site
  2. League Commissioners – The creators of the individual fantasy leagues. These are owners who will manage the league such as inviting and managing owners, choosing the draft date and managing the draft and running the league.
  3. Team owners – The owners of the actual teams.

Owner/Admin Features

  • Full web based installation wizard
  • Admin Control Panel with the following tools:
    • Database import
    • League Settings
    • Pre-Season tools
    • Sim Processing tools
    • Edit Homepage splash content
    • Add homepage news
  • Full Admin access for the whole site

League Commissioners

  • Create a fantasy league (one per player)
  • Commissioner control panel with the following tools:
    • League setup/Config
    • Set avatar
    • Manage Divisions
    • Manage Teams
    • Invite Owners
    • Invitation Manager
    • Waiver Claim Manager
    • Draft Admin Tools
      • Draft Config
      • Manage Order
      • Manage auto draft options
      • Manage Draft
      • Draft Summary with admin tools (Skip,rollback, clear)
      • Auto Draft Bypass

    Team Owners

    • Draft War room
      • Scout players with stats
      • Create Draft List
      • Make Picks
    • Manage Lineup
    • Add/Drop Players (with list or stats views)
